The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings for the River Yeo from Snapper to the Old Water Mill at Barnstaple because of heavy rainfall, and also for the River Torridge between Dolton and Bideford. The Torquay HiFlyer balloon was also badly damaged by high winds hitting the bay earlier this morning despite it being strapped down overnight.
The agency has also issued alerts for the Lynher and the River Tamar. There are also 28 flood alerts for the region.
