Sixth person arrested over Comber Strickland shooting Man, 44, charged in connection with Strickland shooting

A sixth person has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a man in County Down. A 44-year-old man has been charged in connection with the shooting of Philip Strickland near Comber on Wednesday.
Philip Strickland, 36, was found shot dead in a car on Quarry Road, off the Ballydrain Road, near Comber on Wednesday. He is accused of assisting offenders and is due to appear in court on Monday.
A 44-year-old man was arrested early on Saturday morning in the Comber area. A man and a woman, both aged 19, were arrested on Thursday night. Mr Strickland, 36, was found shot dead in a car on Quarry Road, off the Ballydrain Road.
