A man who died in "suspicious" circumstances in West Dunbartonshire is believed to have been stabbed. A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 37-year-old man in Alexandria.
The 37-year-old was found injured at the Argyle Park football pavilion, in Heather Avenue, Alexandria, just after 16:00 on Sunday. Police were called to the town's Argyle Park football pavilion at about 16:00 on Sunday.
He died a short time later in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. They found the 37-year-old seriously injured. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he later died.
Police said a post-mortem examination and formal identification would take place on Monday and a line of inquiry was being followed. The dead man has been identified by police as Mark Gallagher. The man who was arrested is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
