On Wednesday afternoon the Prime Minister paid tribute to Pc Henry.
At Prime Minister's Questions Mr Blair offered condolences to Pc Henry's family and friends.
"His death highlights the dangers that our police officers face every day in their task of protecting the public," he said.
Tory leader David Cameron also expressed his party's "heartfelt condolences and sympathy" for Pc Henry's family and friends.
