A police investigation is under way after two bodies were discovered at a house in North Yorkshire. A man and woman have been found dead at a house in North Yorkshire - the woman, 23, found in bed and the 27-year-old man found hanged in the bedroom.

Inside they found the bodies of a man and a woman, who have not yet been named. A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Thursday. Neighbours told the BBC they had raised the alarm after becoming concerned about the woman, who had lived at the house for the past eight years.
Police said the house had been sealed off for examination and confirmed they were treating the deaths as suspicious. She had not been seen since Monday when shouting was heard at the house.

One neighbour, Tanya Taggart, told BBC Look North: "I can't get my head around it, I don't think it has hit me properly.
"I see her all the time and I always talk to her, she is lovely. When I heard what had happened I just couldn't believe it."
