A teenager has been charged with five counts of attempted murder after a series of accidents in West Yorkshire on Monday night.

One of the injured people, an 18-year-old cyclist, was seriously hurt when he was hit by a gold-coloured Range Rover which mounted the footpath.

Minutes later the same vehicle hit two people on the pavement outside a pub.

The teenager from Halifax, who is also charged with dangerous driving, will appear in court on Friday, police said.
