Version 0 of 1.

Detectives are following up leads received after an appeal by the family of murdered Worcestershire pensioner Betty Yates.

Mrs Yates's son David and daughter Hazel appealed on Monday for people to come forward with information.

Police said they had taken seven calls - one reporting a man in a silver Audi seen at a garage in Kidderminster Road, Bewdley.

It is believed Mrs Yates was killed in her cottage on 2 January.

After a BBC One Crimewatch appeal last week, a caller reported seeing a silver Audi estate on Dowles Road near Mrs Yates' cottage in the early evening of 2 January.

Det Ch Insp Neil Jamieson said: "We don't yet know if either of these sightings (of a silver Audi) are in any way connected or indeed relevant to our investigation and can only do that by tracing the vehicle or vehicles concerned and anyone who was using them."

Crimestoppers has offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the killer.

Mrs Yates' body was found at the foot of her stairs on 4 January. She had been stabbed and beaten with her walking stick.
