Version 0 of 1.

A man at the centre of a siege in Monmouthshire has pleaded guilty to possessing an imitation firearm.

Greg Searle, 34, was arrested following an eight-hour stand-off with armed police at his home in the Bulwark area of Chepstow on 3 August last year.

Searle, who appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday, admitted affray at a previous hearing.

Sentencing was adjourned until 16 March for psychiatric and pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

No-one was harmed in the siege, which ended peacefully after Gwent Police sent specialist armed offices and negotiators to the scene.
