Murder arrest after woman's death

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman aged 42 was found at an address in the Roath area of Cardiff.

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the death to come forward.

House-to-house inquiries are being carried out in Pearl Street area after the discovery at 2120 BST on Sunday.

The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Det Ch Insp Paul Burke, who is heading the investigation said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious at the address on Sunday evening or who has any information about this incident to come forward."
