Version 0 of 1.

Police have said they have had a "very good response" from the public as they continue to search for three men who raped a teenage girl at the weekend.

The 16-year-old was going to a club in Strabane when she was accosted by three men. They took her away and two held her down while the third raped her.

A police spokesman said "a lot of people had called in" with information about the "brutal" attack.

He said police were currently following up on the information provided.

The spokesman added detectives were hoping that more people would contact police with information to help catch the attackers.

He said it was too early to speculate on their identity.

The attack happened between 2200 BST and midnight on Saturday, although details of it were only released on Tuesday. The victim was approached in the Railway Road area of the town.

The men then took her to an undisclosed location where the attack happened.

The police said several hundred people were in the area on Saturday night.
