Two women who died in a road crash in Orkney have been named. | |
Ann Stanger, 64, and 65-year-old Moira Towers - both from Stromness - were among three casualties cut from three cars in Kirkwall's Sunnybank Road at about 21:45 on Sunday. | |
They were declared dead at the scene. The other casualty was seriously injured and taken to the town's Balfour Hospital. | |
A spokesman for Northern Constabulary appealed for witnesses to come forward. | |
The road was expected to be closed for most of Monday. |
