US students have been hurt in a shooting at a high school in Chardon, Ohio, the sheriff's office said. Four US students have been hurt in a high school shooting in Chardon, Ohio, officials say.
The number and extent of the casualties is not known, but witnesses report medical helicopters were at the scene. The students were hurt when a gunman opened fire in the cafeteria at Chardon High School cafeteria, the FBI said.
The superintendent of Chardon told a local TV station one gunman had been taken into custody. Reports suggest the suspect may have been a student. Medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene and took two of the injured to a hospital in a nearby town, a spokeswoman said.
