A woman has died following a car crash in Warrenpoint, County Down. A woman has died after she was knocked down by her own car in an accident in County Down.
The accident happened at Cloughmor View shortly after 1830 BST on Friday, said police. Patricia Coughlin was struck by the vehicle after it began rolling down a steep slope at Cloughmor View in Warrenpoint.
A PSNI spokesman said one car was involved in the collision. Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact the PSNI in Newry. The accident happened at about 1830 BST on Friday, police said. Ms Coughlin, who was aged 40, lived in the town.
Meanwhile, the Westlink between Divis Street and Broadway remains closed for country-bound traffic following an accident involving an overturned lorry. Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
