Motorbikes hit grandmother and children in Weymouth Girl, 5, dies after family hit by motorbikes in Weymouth

A 72-year-old woman and her three granddaughters have been hit by two motorbikes in Dorset. A five-year-old girl has died after a collision in Dorset which also injured her grandmother and two sisters.
They were crossing the A354 near the Swannery Bridge in Weymouth on Sunday afternoon when the crash happened. The girls, aged five, six and 10, were crossing the A354 in Weymouth with their grandmother, 72, on Sunday when they were struck by two motorbikes.

Dorset Police said the collision happened near the Swannery Bridge.
Insp Matt Butler said the five-year-old girl injured in the collision on the A354 Weymouth Way "died from her injuries".
"Her grandmother remains in a critical condition and her two sisters are in a stable condition," he added.
"The family are being supported by a trained family liaison officer and an investigation team from Dorset Police traffic unit is interviewing witnesses and examining forensic evidence to determine exactly how the collision happened.
"We are very grateful to all of the members of the public who stopped to help at the scene."
