A five-year-old girl has died after a collision in Dorset which also injured her grandmother and two sisters. | |
The girls, aged five, six and 10, were crossing the A354 in Weymouth with their grandmother, 72, on Sunday when they were struck by two motorbikes. | |
The woman and five-year-old girl were taken by air ambulance to hospital in Southampton. The girl's grandmother remains in a critical condition. | |
The older girls are in a stable condition in hospital in Dorchester. | |

Dorset Police said the collision happened near the Swannery Bridge. | |
Insp Matt Butler said the five-year-old girl injured in the collision on the A354 Weymouth Way "died from her injuries". | |
"Her grandmother remains in a critical condition and her two sisters are in a stable condition," he added. | |
"The family are being supported by a trained family liaison officer and an investigation team from Dorset Police traffic unit is interviewing witnesses and examining forensic evidence to determine exactly how the collision happened. | |
"We are very grateful to all of the members of the public who stopped to help at the scene." | |
