Version 0 of 1.

A woman has been flown to hospital after she was rescued from the sea in the middle of the night off Ceredigion.

Coastguards were called out after the woman, who is thought to live locally, said she was going into the water at Borth beach around 0300 BST.

Rescuers launched Borth and Aberdovey inshore lifeboats and the woman was later found by one of the crews.

She was pulled from the water and taken by an RAF rescue helicopter to Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.

A coastguard spokeswoman said the woman was conscious but unresponsive when she was brought out of the water.

Her condition in hospital is not known.
