Ben Hitchcock was attacked in Southend Road, Beckenham, south-east London, when a fight broke out over gate crashers at a party on Saturday night. House party His mother Lee said: "My son was loved very much by his family and many friends. We will miss him terribly, more than anything in the world. "I appeal to anyone who knows who killed my Ben to get in touch with the police. We must know the truth about what happened." Police said a number of people are thought to have tried to enter a house near Southend Road where there was a party. The group was not allowed in and police believe calls were made to others and youngsters at the party came out on the street. When the fight started 40 young people had gathered at the scene. Officers recovered a number of knives and bricks from the area. Det Supt Simon Morgan said: "The incident simply evolved from gate crashing a party and that is the motive behind what has led to a full blown fight at this location and tragic consequences." |
