Voter turnout at this year's local elections looks set to be the lowest since 2000: only an estimated 32% made it to the polling stations on Thursday. People who don't vote are often called apolitical, lazy or even irresponsible – but some may have good reasons for staying away. If you're eligible to vote in England, Scotland or Wales but stayed away from the polling stations, let us know why.
