An elderly woman and her pregnant daughter have been rescued after their home in Cushendall flooded. Flood victims in north Antrim are to get the same £1,000 compensation as other affected areas, a junior minister has pledged.

The mother and daughter were trapped in their home by water reaching four feet in places. An elderly woman and her pregnant daughter had to be rescued.
Junior minister Ian Paisley Jnr said those whose homes were damaged would receive the same hardship payments as those made elsewhere.
Households affected by last month's serious flooding in Belfast received payments of £1,000.
'Now be extended'
Mr Paisley Jnr, a North Antrim MLA, said he raised the plight of his constituents with Finance Minister Peter Robinson and Environment Minister Arlene Foster.
"There will be an emergency payout because of the emergency circumstances people find themselves in," he said.
"At least six of my constituents are now homeless and will be out of their homes for several nights, maybe even months.
"This package will now be extended to this part of north Antrim."
During Monday night's flooding in Cushendall, the mother and daughter were trapped in their home by water reaching four feet in places.
