The Voice contestants take part in final Leanne Mitchell is winner of The Voice
(about 1 hour later)
The final four contestants are competing to be crowned the winner of The Voice. Leanne Mitchell has won BBC singing contest The Voice, beating the other three contestants in the show's final.
Wiltshire singer Bo Bruce, 27, is the bookmakers' favourite to win the BBC One show, representing coach Danny O'Donoghue's team. Mitchell, 28, from Lowestoft, Suffolk, had been mentored by Sir Tom Jones.
Londoners Tyler James and Vince Kidd and Suffolk's Leanne Mitchell are also vying to win a recording contract. Wiltshire singer Bo Bruce, 27, had been the bookmakers' favourite to win the BBC One show, representing coach Danny O'Donoghue's team.
All four will perform with their celebrity mentors during the live show on Saturday. Londoners Tyler James and Vince Kidd had also been vying to win a recording contract, which was the prize for coming first.
Bruce, whose real name is Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce and is the daughter of the Earl of Cardigan, is expected to perform Professor Green's Read All About It with O'Donoghue as well as Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U. All four performed with their celebrity mentors during the live show on Saturday.
"I don't think there's anybody better who's an all-round artist who has an incredibly, amazing angelic voice," The Script singer said in a video appealing for votes on The Voice's website. Mitchell is married and works as a holiday camp singer. She writes songs, plays keyboards and had previously been close to sealing a record contract.
In his appeal for James, fellow coach Will.i.am, of US band the Black Eyed Peas, said: "If the UK truly wants to see a star be born then Tyler's your guy. Speaking after her victory, she said: "I am starting to believe in myself."
"Make him the winner and I guarantee you he will be the biggest thing since sliced bread to come out of the UK."
However, Jessie J told ITN the contest was still anyone's to win.
"There was a big curve ball from the semi-final to the final and who people thought were going to get through," she said.
"Anyone could win now, it's really open, it's exciting."
Last week's shock semi-final saw the previous favourites to win the prize - Ruth Brown and Jaz Ellington - voted out of the contest by the public.
The show was watched by 4.5m people, the lowest number of viewers so far in the series.
