Police in Norfolk halted two raves over the weekend.

Seven people were arrested when officers pulled over a van filled with sound equipment on the A134 at Croxton near Thetford on Saturday night.

Five of those arrested are being questioned on suspicion of drug offences and two on suspicion of conspiracy to commit public nuisance.

On Sunday morning police interrupted an illegal music event in Thetford Forest where about 300 people had gathered.

There were about 100 cars at the site and police believed it would have been a three-day event.

The site was cleared by the afternoon but police are still looking for those believed to have organised the event, a spokesperson said.

The seven people arrested on Saturday night have all been freed on bail.
