Two 17-year-old boys have been killed after the car they were driving hit a tree in Aberdeen. Two 17-year-olds have been killed after the car they were driving hit a tree in Aberdeen.
Two other teenage boys, who were rear passengers in the Renault Clio, suffered minor injuries. They have been named locally as Scott Taylor and Aiden Thomson.

Grampian police has appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them. Two other teenage boys, who were rear passengers in the Renault Clio, suffered minor injuries. Grampian Police appealed for witnesses.
Insp Scott Mann of the road policing department said: "Two young men have died as a result of this tragic incident tonight. Their immediate families have been advised and my thoughts are with them at this sad and traumatic time. One resident living nearby told BBC Scotland she heard an "almighty bang", which made her house shake, and saw the car concertinaed against the tree.
"Clearly our enquiries are at an early stage and collision investigators have carried out a detailed examination of the scene. This necessitated the closure of West Tullos Road for around six hours. Insp Scott Mann of the road policing department said: "Two young men have died as a result of this tragic incident.
"Their immediate families have been advised and my thoughts are with them at this sad and traumatic time."
