Condemnation
Sinn Fein local councillor Paul Butler condemned the attack.
"This attack is a worrying development and it is totally unacceptable that people are targeted because of their race," he said.
"These types of attacks once they start unfortunately have the potential to lead to an increase in racist attacks."
SDLP Lagan Valley MLA Patricia Lewsley said people who come from other countries to work in Northern Ireland had to be protected.
"We should not wait until someone is seriously injured or worse before getting together to root out this sort of behaviour," she said.
"The people who did this will in all probability attack again, and we must protect those who come from other countries to live and work among us."
