Man charged over neighbour death

A man has been charged with murder after a neighbour was fatally stabbed during what police said was a dispute over land.

Keith Brown, 52, from the Normacot area of Stoke-on-Trent, died in hospital from a single stab wound, after police were called to a disturbance on Friday.

Staffordshire police said a 49-year-old man was charged with murder and will appear before magistrates on Monday.

Three men, aged 19, 24 and 26, have been released on police bail.

A 14-year-old girl who was also arrested was released without charge, along with a 32-year-old man.

A 19-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries during the disturbance, has been discharged from the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

The scene at Uttoxeter Road, which had been sealed off as part of the investigation, has been reopened.
