Police in Stranraer are investigating the unexplained death of a teenager. Police have named a teenager found dead in a house in Stranraer town centre on Wednesday night.
The 17-year-old boy was found dead in a house in the town centre at about 21:30 on Wednesday. The death of Callum Dornan, 17, of the town's Springfield Crescent, is being treated as "unexplained".
His death was being treated as "unexplained", Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said. He was found dead in premises on Queen Street and investigations are continuing into the circumstances of the incident.
The force said inquiries were at an early stage and the teenager's name will not be released until all family members have been notified of his death. Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have spoken to the teenager prior to 21:30 on Wednesday.
The procurator fiscal has been informed and a post mortem examination is being arranged.
