Kesha, a former contestant on talent show Young Stars in Their Eyes, had just completed her A-levels in Law, English and philosophy.
She had been given a bursary to study at the University of Manchester and had ambitions of becoming a barrister.
Her relatives said she "was like a little humming bird - she was always singing and was always happy".
"A good person who saw the good in everyone and everything."
Younger brother Fred was known to his family as "baby Fred" and said to be "a typical little boy who loved Manchester United".
"He didn't have a care in the world."
He was described as a "real practical learner" and a "a real practical joker" and "made everyone laugh".

"They were so similar in so many ways and all of them lit up our lives."
The bodies were found by a member of the public on Thursday evening.
Tributes of flowers and toys have already been laid at the family home.
A special page has also been created on social networking internet site Facebook where hundreds of people have posted tributes.
One reads: "The world is in shock and we all weep, knowing that 3 more angels have fell to sleep."
Another says, "This is tragic, we all miss you, sleep tight."
