Woman attacked in her own house

A 19-year-old woman from Lurgan is recovering after she was assaulted in her home in the Shankill estate in the town.

She was attacked after she answered a knock at her front door shortly after arrived home at 0145 BST on Saturday.

A man forced his way into the hallway and attacked her before the woman managed to break free.

It is thought the he may have followed her home from William Street earlier. Police have appealed for information.
