Tokyo is bracing itself for a deadly storm that has killed three people and forced thousands from their homes. A powerful storm is heading away from Japan's capital, Tokyo, after killing at least three people in the south of the country, officials say.
Typhoon Man-yi has now been downgraded to a tropical storm but still carries gusts of up to 162km/h (101mph). Typhoon Man-yi was later downgraded to a tropical storm with winds of 83km/h (51mph) as it passed south of Tokyo.
