Churton light aircraft crash: Two feared dead | |

Two people are believed to have died when a light aircraft crashed near Chester, Cheshire Police have said. | |
The aircraft with two men on board came down on farmland near the village of Churton. | |
Police said staff at Hawarden Airport in north Wales reported the plane as missing at 20:55 BST. | |
A search was launched and the wreckage was spotted by a police helicopter. Emergency services are at the scene. | |
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two fire engines from Chester went to the scene and on arrival crews found a two-seater plane had crashed into a field. | |
"Police and paramedics were also on the scene and firefighters assisted them in gaining access to the aircraft which contained two men." | |
North West Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance and two rapid response vehicles to Chapel Lane but they were not used. |
