The firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, took at least seven hours to tackle the flames at the depot in Crawford Street, Saltley. They were called at about 1815 BST on Sunday to the fire, which "caused a considerable amount of smoke", said a West Midlands Fire Service spokeswoman. She said the crews had managed to stop the fire spreading to other buildings. |
