An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "At 11 am this morning [Monday] police were called to Filton school campus following reports of a 13-year-old girl receiving a stab to the abdomen, the girl was transferred to Frenchay hospital - her condition is not life-threatening.
"A short time later a 13-year-old girl was arrested and is now being questioned at Staple Hill police station
"A number of witnesses saw the attack and police are currently working with the school and education authorities to question them."
