One person has died after a road crash in West Lothian. A man has been charged with drink-driving following a fatal road crash in West Lothian.
The accident happened in Drumcross Road in Bathgate at 22:05 about on Thursday. A 25-year-old man was killed when a car left the carriageway in Drumcross Road, Bathgate, at 22:05 on Thursday.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said one car was involved in the collision. Firefighters used cutting gear to free the five occupants from the Volkswagen Passat after it hit a tree and landed on its roof.
Firefighters had to cut people free from the vehicle. Lothian and Borders Police said the 41-year-old driver was due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday.
