Version 0 of 1.

Aberdeen FC has received calls from private landowners offering potential sites for a new stadium, the club has said.

The Dons had planned to move from Pittodrie to a new ground at Loirston Loch, on the southern outskirts of the city, by the 2014-15 season.

The club had hoped that a new community sports centre at nearby Cove would double as a training facility.

But Aberdeen City Council threw out plans for the Cove centre last week.

The football club will hold discussions with Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire councils about the availability of locations.

Aberdeen FC vice chairman George Yule has already refused to rule out the possibility of the club moving out of the city.
