A Hartlepool man receiving treatment for suspected Legionnaires' disease is recovering well, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has said. | |

Dr Acheson said: "Legionnaires' disease does not spread from person to person and can only be contracted from the source of the contaminated water. | |
"We are working closely with the local authority to investigate potential sources of infection as is standard practice. | |
"We are not aware of any other suspected cases in the local area at the present time but remain vigilant." |
