Producers said the show had been scrapped because an investor withdrew after learning its leading lady had quit to take part in the BBC contest. Its producers claimed an investor withdrew when they learned Harmer had quit to take part in the BBC contest.
However, a spokesman for Harmer said she had only signed up for Strictly after leaving Disco Inferno.
