What's with articles like this (French press bury forest carnage, 10 September)? Surely this kind of embarrassing flag-waving should be checked before heading out the door. Did you ever take into account that job creation, social housing, reducing crime and saving the euro would be more important than a series of incredibly gruesome killings that have no impact on our daily lives? Should you be proud to have become a tabloid in hiding? We didn't bury the story. We're just in the middle of discussing major policy changes that are among the most progressive in years. Sorry if we're actually involved with the nitty-gritty of life.
