Thailand: Red Bull Heir’s Family Agrees to Pay Siblings of Hit-and-Run Victim
Version 0 of 1. The family of an heir to the Red Bull energy drink fortune who is accused of killing a police officer in a hit-and-run accident has paid the officer’s siblings about $97,000 in an agreement that is aimed at avoiding a lawsuit, the police said Wednesday. The heir, Vorayuth Yoovidhya, 27, is charged with driving a Ferrari that struck the officer and dragged his body down a Bangkok street this month. The payment, however, will not shield Mr. Vorayuth from criminal charges of causing death by reckless driving and fleeing to avoid arrest. |
