"This week has been the hardest in the school's history, an emotional roller-coaster but everyone has rallied around and provided tremendous support for the school and its community and we are very grateful for that," she said. And a public fund has been set up due to the number of people from around the UK wanting to show their support, according to the town council.
"Our thoughts are with April's family and friends at this desperately worrying time and we will give them whatever help and comfort they need."

A vigil was held in the town on Friday evening - the fourth this week - which was attended by members of the emergency services who have been involved in the hunt for April.
