Five charged over town assault

Five people have been charged with attempted murder and robbery over an assault in Rostrevor, police have said.

Two men sustained head injuries in an attack on Kilbrobney Road in the County Down town on Tuesday.

The men were taken to hospital where their condition was described as stable.

Two 18-year-old men, a 19-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl will appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
