Pope Benedict XVI’s former butler Paolo Gabriele, who was found guilty this month of stealing confidential papal documents and leaking them to a journalist, will begin serving an 18-month sentence in a Vatican prison cell, the Vatican announced Thursday. Mr. Gabriele will be moved from house arrest in his apartment inside Vatican City to a cell at the Vatican police station, the Vatican said in a statement.
