A 79-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in South Lanarkshire. | |
The man was struck by a black Ford Kuga as he crossed Main Street, Uddingston, near to Gardenside Avenue, at about 17:25 on Monday. | |
He was taken by ambulance to Monklands Hospital in Airdrie where he died. The car driver was not injured. | |
The road was closed for five hours following the incident. Strathclyde Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact them. |
