A man has been found stabbed to death on the forecourt of an east London petrol station. | |
Officers had been called to reports of a stabbing on the Shell garage on Ley Street in Ilford in the early hours of Saturday. | |
The 29-year-old had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. | |
Murder detectives have made no arrests and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. | |
Appealing for witnesses Det Ch Insp John Sandlin said he believed two women in a blue Ford Focus registration number EJ57 OED got out of the car when the altercation was taking place. | |
"I need to trace those women," he said. | |
Police believe they know the identity of the man but are awaiting formal identification. |
