It is thought a large firework may have been behind reports of a small explosion outside a house in west Belfast. A small explosion outside a house in west Belfast was caused by a "commercial firework", police have said.

A number of people, including a baby, were in the house, but there were no reports of any injuries. A three-month-old baby girl, her mother and grandmother were all in the house at the time, but were not injured.
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Gavin Davine, whose mother lives in the house, said the baby had to be taken out of it without being fed due to the incident.
He said the attackers were "hooligans".
Family members said there had been a previous incident a few years ago.
Sinn Fein's Fra McCann said the device thrown on Thursday had nails and screws attached to it.
He said the family had lived in the area for several years and there was no reason why they would have been singled out.
