Hedge End depot fire destroys coaches and mini buses

Another coach was partially damaged in the blaze on Upper Northam Drive, Hedge End on Saturday evening. Crews from Hightown, St Mary's and a water carrier from Eastleigh tackled the flames after the fire started at 17:45 GMT. The cause of the fire is not yet known and owners are yet to fully assess the extent of the damage. Meanwhile, investigations continue into a fire at a derelict industrial building in Liphook on Saturday morning. Police are treating the fire at Fairfield Graphics in Station Road, which started at 03:00 GMT, as suspicious. An appeal for witnesses has been issued by Alton CID. |
