Two women were seriously injured when they were hit by a bus in central London. Two women are critically ill in hospital after being hit by a bus in central London.

The women were taken by ambulance to hospital where they are described as being in a serious condition. The road has been closed in both directions. Both women, one aged 18 and the other in her 40s, are said to be in a life-threatening condition. The road has been closed in both directions.
London Ambulance Service sent the air ambulance, four ambulances, two motorcycle units and two cycle units to the scene.
The injured were all taken to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.
