Man found dead near block of flats in Motherwell

A man has been found dead near a block of flats in North Lanarkshire, police said.

The discovery was made near Burnside tower in Motherwell at about 03:20.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said officers were treating the death as "unexplained".

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out and inquiries were continuing.
