Version 0 of 1.

Riot police officers fired tear gas and stun grenades in Kuwait City on Sunday to disperse more than 1,000 antigovernment protesters who were defying strict rules limiting political demonstrations. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Opposition groups have accused Kuwait’s ruler of overstepping his powers by changing voting rules that appeared to favor government critics. The protesters now seek to bring down the Parliament, dominated by supporters of the government, that was elected last month.
