A man has been charged over the death of a teenager who was killed in a crash involving a car being chased by police. A man has appeared in court over the death of a 13-year-old girl in a crash involving a vehicle which was being pursued by police.

Devon Newell, 32, of Meeting House Lane, Peckham, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Devon Newell, 32, of Peckham, south-east London, appeared by videolink at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court.
He will appear in custody via video-link at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He has been charged with offences including causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
Mr Newell has also been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving; failing to stop for police, failing to stop at the scene of an accident; and driving without insurance and a licence. The Independent Police Complaints Commission said it will investigate the chase and accident.
Mr Newell was remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 15 January.
