Zaha Crystal Palace > Arsenal/Man Utd
Wilfried Zaha's transfer from Crystal Palace to either Manchester United or Arsenal could be resolved by the start of next week. Although David Gill, the United chief executive, said this week there was still some way to go regarding whether Zaha might sign for the club, there is optimism at Palace that the transfer could be completed by Monday. It is understood that, while United remain in pole position, Arsenal are also trying to buy the winger, whose final price may be around £10m. Arsenal were thought to have fell well behind in the race for his signature but Wenger said on Thursday: "We are looking at him, but at the moment we have not made a bid for him." That both United and Arsenal have now publicly confirmed their interest is being taken as a sign that Zaha's transfer could be nearing its completion. If he is sold, the buyer is being asked to loan him straight back to Palace for the remainder of the season with two or three other players from the parent club joining Palace on loan as well until then to help with the promotion push. Jamie Jackson

Campbell
Sunderland > Cardiff City

Fraizer Campbell is on the verge of completing a £600,000 move from Sunderland to Cardiff City after the Welsh club fended off competition from Hull City. The former Manchester United forward, who has one England cap, never fulfilled his promise on Wearside after twice rupturing ligaments in the same knee. Sunderland's manager, Martin O'Neill, hopes to replace him by recruiting Danny Graham from Swansea for £5m. Louise Taylor

M'Vila
Rennes > QPR

The new Queens Park Rangers striker Loïc Rémy has revealed that he is trying to persuade his fellow France international Yann M'Vila to join him at Loftus Road. The Rennes midfielder is a £7m target for Harry Redknapp but is being courted by several other clubs too. "I would like him to come here because the project is very exciting. I've told him how nice it is here and I think he'd be very happy. But ultimately it's not for me to make decisions for his career." Paul Doyle

Hooper
Norwich City > Celtic

Celtic have rejected an offer from Norwich for the striker Gary Hooper. The manager, Neil Lennon, confirmed his club had turned down the bid after reports emerged in England. Lennon said: "We had discussions with his representatives this morning and we are waiting to hear back from them." Celtic want the striker to extend his contract, which expires at the end of next season. PA

Eriksson
> 1860 Munich

Sven-Goran Eriksson has turned down a job at 1860 Munich, days after the second-tier German club had announced the surprise signing. "Sven-Goran Eriksson has informed the club after some time he took to consider that he will not be accepting the offer," it said in a statement. The former England manager was to have been part of the training staff along with the current coach, Alexander Schmidt, who would have stayed on in his position. Reuters
