A pensioner has suffered minor injuries in a sectarian petrol bomb attack at his home in west Belfast.

Larry McGrady was in bed at his flat in Erris Grove when the attack took place at about 0300 BST on Tuesday.

One device was thrown through a bedroom window, however, Mr McGrady managed to extinguish the fire.

The 65-year-old, who suffered minor burns and cuts from broken glass, said he did not know why he had been targeted.

"The curtain, more or less, stopped it because it and the window frame went up in flames," he said.

"It didn't spray round me, I just got minor burns, I got off lightly.

"They did say to me they would burn me out, I wish these people would catch themselves on."
