Murder inquiry after man's body found in Glasgow flat

The body of Paul Cunningham was found in his flat in Aberdour Street, Dennistoun, at about 18:15 on Monday. Strathclyde Police announced the murder inquiry after a post-mortem examination waa held on Wednesday and are attempting to piece together his last movements. Relatives have been informed and a full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. Piece together Det Chief Insp Colin Carey said: "Extensive inquiries are being carried out in the local area and officers are currently studying CCTV footage in an effort to gather further information that may assist with this investigation. "We are currently trying to piece together Mr Cunningham's last known movements. "He was last seen in the local area around 11am on Friday 8 February by a friend and I am anxious to speak to anyone who saw him after this, or anyone who knew of his whereabouts over the past weekend. "Officers are also working to gather as much information as possible on Mr Cunningham, including details on his lifestyle and the people he associated with." |
